Marcela has been a valued part of the Banyan team for 18 years. She truly enjoys working with customers and building meaningful connections with the pilots and visitors who stop by the shop. Outside of work, Marcela loves spending her free time flying, further fueling her passion for aviation.
Liz has been part of the Banyan team for a little over three months and is currently in school for aviation administration with a focus on Air Traffic Control. She enjoys learning more about the aviation field through the people she meets every day. In her free time, Lizbeth loves to shop, though admittedly, she may love it a little too much.
Our Pilot Shop Manager Katie brings 11 years of pilot shop experience to the team. She soloed at 16 and earned her Private at 17. She owns several personal aircraft and has participated in restoration projects.
Her background also includes Purchasing Manager and Repair Station Business Manager, bringing a great understanding of parts and procurement to her position. She is an active board member of the Florida Goldcoast Ninety-Nines, and is a Director of their Scholarship Fund. In her free time she enjoys flying, fishing, and spending time with her family.
