Emergency Vision Assurance System (EVAS)
The Emergency Vision Assurance System (EVAS) is a lifesaving cockpit safety solution designed to provide pilots with a clear field of vision during smoke, fire, or fume emergencies.
In situations where standard smoke evacuation procedures are not enough, EVAS creates a transparent, breathable space that allows pilots to clearly see flight instruments and the outside environment. This allows them to safely land the aircraft. EVAS is an essential safety addition for aircraft operators who prioritize preparedness and risk mitigation.
EVAS Key Benefits

• Maintain Visibility in Dense Smoke: Creates a clear viewing space so pilots can see instruments and the runway during emergency landings.
• Rapid Deployment in Seconds: The system inflates and becomes operational in approximately 30–60 seconds.
• Minimal Installation Required: EVAS is a portable system that requires virtually no aircraft modification.
• FAA Tested and Certified: Fully certified and validated to perform in continuous dense smoke environments.
• Trusted Across 120+ Aircraft Types: Widely adopted across business aviation, commercial, and special mission aircraft.
• 10-Year Warranty Protection: Backed by a comprehensive, renewable, and transferable warranty.
How it works

EVAS is engineered for simplicity, speed, and reliability in high-stress emergency scenarios.
In the event of cockpit smoke:
1. The pilot removes the Inflatable Vision Unit (IVU) from the EVAS case
2. A pull-tab activates the system
3. The IVU inflates within seconds
4. A sealed, transparent chamber forms around the pilot’s viewing area
The IVU inflates with one section positioned above the glareshield and one below, creating a protected visual corridor. Once deployed, the system is continuously pressurized using filtered cockpit air, maintaining visibility even in continuous smoke conditions.
