F4U CORSAIR PAPPY BOYINGTON

TheF4U Corsair was introduced in 1942 as the primary aircraft of US Navy and Marine pilots. Built around the massive Pratt & Whitney R-2800 engine and massive propeller, it was difficult to handle but well-armed with six 0.50cal machine guns. Reaching speeds up to 400 mph, it could quickly catch up to enemy aircraft, dictating engagements and creating many aces over the Pacific.
